Scottish missionary Audrey Golder has gone ‘on loan’ to teach at Hope Academy in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan. She plans to be there for 2 years.

Here is her Autumn prayer letter.

Audrey’s Adventures

Just Living
Since I have returned there have been electricity cuts almost every day. Doing anything by candle light is a problem but marking children’s writing can be well nigh impossible.
There has also been some talk of a revolution and unrest as the election proceeds so please remember to pray for the people God wants in power to be elected.
The recession has also hit us here. Remember those who depend on other members of our church family as they try to make ends meet.

School
My new class is doing well and working very hard. We have a couple of children who need special care and so my issues this year will include giving them strategies to cope.

Imogen and the family
Please continue to uphold my brother and his family as they go through this time of concern for Imogen. She has started school in England with Jed but gets frustrated sometimes when she has difficulties.

Settling back
I found it much harder saying goodbye and have wanted to come home at least once since. As a colleague at Hope said “for Missionaries it is just as well travel arrangements take time or more of us would be half way home before we realised our service is back there.”

Please pray
* for my health - tummy bugs doing the rounds
* for Immy's salvation and healing
* For the challenges of a new class
* for homesickness

Praise and thanks
* for safety
* for new friends
